An audio-visual installation responding to The Shell Story by the Orcadian writer/poet, George Mackay Brown.
Pat Law
A response to George Mackay Brown's 'Shell Story' portraying the emotions, hopes and imaginings of women, whose fisherman husbands have been lost at sea. Images on the verge of transformation suggest the morphing of one form into another, but a transformation which never fully takes shape - a metaphor for the handing down of stories and songs over generations - a journey without a destination.
